Miley Cyrus has added a major BFF to her squad of celebrity pals: Caitlyn Jenner.
In the September cover story for Marie Claire, the “Wrecking Ball” singer revealed that she has become friends with the “I Am Cait" star.
"We've talked a lot about how you can never make every single person happy,” Cyrus told the magazine.
“We always laugh about people saying she transitioned to be famous. Which is crazy. Caitlyn has to tell her story, because if she doesn't, everyone else is going to tell it for her.”
It seems natural that the two became friends, since Cyrus has been vocal in her support of the reality star after she went public with her transition earlier this summer.
Cyrus also opened up about her time as a child star on the hit Disney series “Hannah Montana” — and divulged that she had a rough time playing the squeaky-clean teen sensation.
"From the time I was 11, it was, 'You're a pop star! That means you have to be blonde, and you have to have long hair, and you have to put on some glittery tight thing,'” the star said.
“Meanwhile, I'm this fragile little girl playing a 16-year-old in a wig and a ton of makeup. It was like ‘Toddlers & Tiaras.’ I had f---ing flippers."
The “We Can’t Stop” singer said that filming the show, which ran for four seasons before ending in 2011, also gave her body-image issues.
"I was told for so long what a girl is supposed to be from being on that show,” she recalled.
“I was made to look like someone that I wasn't, which probably caused some body dysmorphia because I had been made pretty every day for so long, and then when I wasn't on that show, it was like, ‘Who the f--- am I?’"
The star also railed against the negative impact of society’s beauty standards on all women.

“They lighten black girls' skin. They smooth out wrinkles. Even when I get stuck on Instagram wondering, ‘Why don't I look like that?’
“It's a total bummer. It's crazy what people have decided we're all supposed to be."
To that end, Cyrus said she can’t envision herself as a spokeswoman for a beauty brand.
"I'm probably never going to be the face of a traditional beauty company unless they want a weed-smoking, liberal-ass freak.”
“But my dream was never to sell lip gloss,” she added. “My dream is to save the world.”
