Whether you hate or love Miley Cyrus – it doesn’t matter.
We’re flashing back to two years ago when Miley performed Dolly Parton’s hit song “Jolene” during her Backyard Session series. According to the YouTube description, it is one of Cyrus’ favorite tunes.
Miley flawlessly executed each note and added something refreshing to the song with her unique voice. Who knew she had it in her!?
It’s safe to say Dolly Parton, who is Cyrus’ godmother, approved of the remake.
“I’ve known her daddy [Billy Ray Cyrus] the many years he’s been in the business. I’ve watched her grow up,” Parton told People in a past interview after her controversial concerts. “She’s a smart girl. She had to go to extremes to get her point across. I think she got the point across.”
Back in June, Miley danced around on an Instagram video while singing ‘9 to 5.’
